Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead and oversee civil engineering projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and project management skills, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects, utilise advanced engineering software, and contribute to innovative system designs.
Duties
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, including land surveying, system design, and schematic development.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and CAD software.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively while coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Conduct land surveys and utilise ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping purposes.
- Oversee construction activities ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Develop comprehensive reports and documentation related to project progress and technical assessments.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and design modifications.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams for seamless project delivery.
- Proven experience in civil engineering project management with a strong background in construction\-related projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Mathcad, and other relevant CAD systems.
- Solid understanding of system design principles within civil engineering contexts.
- Demonstrated expertise in land surveying techniques and schematic development.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; professional accreditation is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations is essential.
