Senior Project Controller
DeepOcean's Offshore Renewables division delivers subsea installation and intervention services supporting the global energy transition. We work at the forefront of offshore wind and emerging ocean energy, delivering services within the full life cycle of subsea operations. As our new Senior Project Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects from handover from tendering through to execution, typically following the same project throughout its full lifecycle.
The role focuses on financial and performance management of projects, including contract and schedule follow-up, cost control, forecasting, and reporting. You will work closely with project management to ensure accurate tracking of progress, budgets, and risks, and to provide timely insights and challenge assumptions that drive informed decision-making.
The position may be located in Oslo, Stavanger, Haugesund or Aberdeen.
What will you do in this position?
Establish project control frameworks by implementing code structures aligned with DeepOcean’s WBS standardsDevelop and manage budgets, monitor actuals, and oversee project cash flow, including billing, collections, and supplier paymentsPerform month-end closing, including managing cost and revenue accruals in the ERP system to ensure accurate period reporting by recognizing incurred costs and earned revenueMaintain full P&L forecasts by analyzing project performance, including risks and opportunitiesDrive internal reporting, delivering clear monthly insights, including variance analysis and performance trackingSupport external reporting and client interactions, ensuring accurate invoicing, cost reporting, and communication in line with contractual requirementsContribute proactively across the project lifecycle by addressing evolving project needs and driving efficiency improvements
Who are you?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics or a related field5+ years of experience in project controlExpertise in ERP systems and other relevant softwareExperience from T&I, EPCI, and/or EPC projectsExperience with, or interest in, project estimation and valuation of contractual variationsStrong Excel skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and decision supportA curious and analytical mindset combined with a strong commercial awareness and understanding
