Senior Product Specialist \- Project \& Infrastructure Finance (f/m/x)

Are you ready to shape landmark energy and infrastructure transactions across Central and Eastern Europe? RBI’s Project \& Infrastructure Finance team is a regional powerhouse, providing financial advisory, debt structuring and financing solutions across the infrastructure spectrum — with a strong focus on renewables, energy transition, data centers, and digital infrastructure.

As a Senior Product Specialist in Project \& Infrastructure Finance, you will take front\-office responsibility for originating, structuring, and executing complex project finance transactions for RBI’s clients. Based in Vienna and reporting directly to the Head of Project \& Infrastructure Finance, you will work with leading sponsors, investors, public\-sector stakeholders, and international financing partners from business development through to financial close.

This role offers high visibility on strategic transactions and the opportunity to contribute to RBI’s project finance franchise while supporting the energy transition and sustainable infrastructure development across the region.

Your role at RBI:

You will independently manage the full transaction cycle in project and infrastructure finance, with responsibilities including:

Originate, structure, and execute project and infrastructure finance transactions, with a focus on energy, renewable energy, and infrastructure.

Advise clients on optimal financing structures and develop tailored concepts with banks, multilaterals, and other financing partners.

Prepare financing proposals, term sheets, credit applications, and transaction presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Lead negotiations of commercial terms, financing documentation, and transaction structures through to financial close.

Work closely with internal partners from Corporates and Sponsor Coverage to Capital Markets as well as with RBI network banks.

Build relationships with sponsors, developers, advisers, public authorities, and market participants, while identifying trends and new business opportunities.

Your core competencies:

Several years of senior experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, structured finance, PPPs, or a related financing discipline, ideally including transaction origination, structuring and execution.

Strong understanding of energy and infrastructure markets; renewable energy financing experience is a strong advantage.

Established network or proven ability to build trusted relationships with sponsors, financing partners, advisers, and project finance banks.

Strong financial modelling, structuring, credit analysis, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Commercial mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders.

University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional background.

Confident use of financial modelling, analytical tools, and digital collaboration platforms.

Fluency in English is required; German or additional European languages and willingness to travel internationally are considered an advantage.
