Senior Product Engineer

Hevy is looking for a Senior Product Engineer who cares deeply about craft — someone who obsesses over pixel\-perfect UI, fluid animations, and the small details that turn a good product into a great one. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between design and engineering, helping us build experiences that feel as good as they function. We’re a small, fast\-moving team supporting millions of users across mobile and wearables. You’ll have a direct hand in shaping how athletes and fitness enthusiasts interact with Hevy every day — on their phones, web, their Apple Watch, and their Wear OS devices.

What You’ll Do:

• Build polished, high quality UI across our React Native app, iOS wearable, and WearOS wearable, and web platforms.


• Work super closely with the Product and Design team to build and design the best fitness app on the market


• Own and elevate the visual and interactive quality bar — animations, transitions, micro\-interactions, and responsive layouts.


• Collaborate closely with designers to translate Figma designs into experiences that are delightful to use.


• Identify and solve frontend challenges


• Work across the full product lifecycle — from early explorations to shipped, production features.

• Fluent English


• 4\+ years of experience building mobile apps with React Native.


• A strong eye for design — you notice when something is 2px off and it bothers you.


• Fluency with animation libraries (Reanimated, Lottie, or similar) and a track record of shipping smooth, performant UIs.


• Comfort working directly with designers and contributing to design decisions, not just implementing them.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you can articulate tradeoffs clearly and give and receive feedback well.


• Experience with at least one wearable platform (watchOS or WearOS) is a big plus.


• Bonus: A passion for weightlifting, calisthenics, or fitness!

• Hybrid work setup (2 days a week in our awesome office)
