Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to take ownership of the procurement function within our growing technology solutions business. Working across IT infrastructure, audiovisual, networking and associated services, you will lead the end\-to\-end sourcing strategy for projects delivered both in the UK and internationally.

This is a senior, commercially focused role. You will work closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Finance to make sure equipment and services are sourced on time, at the right cost, and on terms that protect margin and support the business's growth.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of technology supply chains and distribution channels, a proven record of commercial negotiation, and the confidence to shape how procurement operates across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the procurement strategy for IT, audiovisual and wider technology equipment and services across multiple vendor and distributor channels

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with major distributors, manufacturers and service providers, including direct vendor accounts

  • Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, rebates, payment terms, credit limits, lead times and volume agreements to maximise margin and project profitability

  • Partner with Sales and Pre\-Sales on quoting, cost modelling and tender pricing, providing commercial input on bids

  • Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle from placement through to delivery, making sure it stays aligned with project programmes

  • Manage international sourcing, including import/export, shipping, duties and in\-country fulfilment for overseas projects

  • Monitor stock availability, lead times, product lifecycle and end\-of\-life changes across core manufacturers, and flag risks early

  • Establish and maintain supplier frameworks, agreements and preferred supplier lists

  • Define and report on procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance and lead time adherence

  • Provide accurate landed cost data to support GP and margin reporting at project and business level

  • Drive process improvement and system development within ERP/procurement platforms

  • Oversee returns, warranty claims, RMAs and supplier credit processes

  • Contribute to vendor accreditation, partnership programmes and supplier risk management alongside the leadership team

  • Mentor and support junior purchasing staff as the function grows
Requirements

Essential

  • 5\+ years' experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management, including time at a senior or lead level

  • Demonstrable experience within the IT, audiovisual or technology integration sector

  • Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and margin improvement

  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen, with experience managing high\-value supplier relationships

  • Experience with international procurement and logistics

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines at the same time

  • Advanced proficiency with ERP/procurement systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels

  • Proactive, detail\-oriented and comfortable in a fast\-paced, project\-driven environment
Desirable
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards it)

  • Experience building or scaling a procurement function

  • Knowledge of multi\-entity or multi\-currency purchasing
Pay: £50,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
