Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the build, execution and ongoing optimisation of PPC campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads for a portfolio of high-value customers

  • Own the strategic direction of your clients' PPC activity, developing and evolving data-led strategies that deliver against agreed performance targets

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the portfolio of your customers, building deep, trusted relationships at senior stakeholder level

  • Lead client status calls, monthly business reviews and quarterly business reviews, presenting campaign performance, strategic recommendations and forward-looking plans with confidence and authority

  • Act as a mentor and go-to resource for PPC Specialists within the team, supporting their development and reviewing their work to maintain quality standards

  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices, playbooks and processes that elevate the performance of the wider PPC function

  • Take a lead role in new business pitches, articulating PPC strategy and capability to prospective clients at a senior level

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across your client portfolio, contributing directly to department revenue growth targets

  • Collaborate closely with GTM and other marketing services teams to drive retention and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts

  • Champion innovation within the team, evaluating emerging platforms, tools and approaches and bringing forward recommendations with a clear commercial rationale

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and algorithm changes, translating that knowledge into actionable insight for clients and colleagues

  • Proactively identify and develop case study material in partnership with the brand marketing and communications team

  • Support line management in embedding strategic objectives across the PPC team, helping to translate business priorities into day-to-day ways of working

  • Facilitate & embed any strategic objective(s) that may be requested by line management or directors of the business
Skills / Knowledge & Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a PPC role, with demonstrable experience managing large, complex or high-spend accounts across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads

  • Proven track record of delivering measurable, results-driven PPC campaigns at scale, with the ability to evidence performance improvements and commercial impact

  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends and translate insight into clear strategic recommendations

  • Experience working with GA4 and an understanding of attribution modelling across paid channels

  • Deep knowledge of the broader digital marketing landscape including SEO, paid social and programmatic, with an understanding of how PPC sits within an integrated strategy

  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members, with a genuine interest in developing others

  • Strong proficiency with Google Analytics and wider measurement and attribution tools, with the ability to build and interpret performance reporting at a senior level

  • Comfortable owning and presenting strategy to senior client stakeholders and internal leadership, using data to build a compelling and persuasive narrative

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to C-suite or senior decision makers

  • Highly organised and self-directed, capable of managing a complex portfolio of high-value accounts with minimal oversight

  • Experience contributing to or leading new business pitches, with the confidence to represent the business externally
