Senior Perinatal and Under Ones Worker - 1 year FTC
One YMCA is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Perinatal Practitioner to join our Family Support Services team on a 1 year fixed\-term maternity cover basis.

About the Role: Working closely with the Perinatal and Family Support Lead, you will help ensure our perinatal services are responsive, inclusive and impactful. You will provide both direct support to families and day\-to\-day leadership to practitioners delivering services across Watford and Three Rivers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting practitioners to deliver high\-quality services
- Delivering engaging antenatal and postnatal programmes, including Preparing for Parenthood, Baby Massage and Infant Feeding
- Managing a small caseload of families with more complex or additional support needs
- Working collaboratively with health professionals, social care teams and community partners
- Promoting positive outcomes for parents, babies and families
- Supporting service development and continuous improvement to meet local needs
You are a confident and experienced practitioner with a strong understanding of perinatal and family support services. You are passionate about early intervention and have the skills to lead, motivate and support others.
You will have:
- Experience delivering antenatal and postnatal support programmes and group\-based interventions
- Previous leadership, supervisory or mentoring experience
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Early Help processes and multi\-agency working
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship\-building skills
- A Level 4 qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle and ability to travel across Watford and Three Rivers as required
- Enhanced DBS check

Working Pattern: Monday \- Friday / 37\.5 Hours PW

- Youth services offering emotional wellbeing support and youth club opportunities for 11\-19 year olds alongside our National Airplay programme funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund
