As Part of the Department
You will join our international payroll team, which currently consists of 8 payroll employees and a Payroll Manager. We are based across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Poland. Your workplace will be at one of our Danish offices: Ballerup, Herning, or Aarhus.
We are part of Finance and work closely with the Shared Service Centre in India, HR Operations, Legal, and Business Partners. Together, we handle payroll for approximately 2,200 salaried employees and continuously work to streamline and optimise processes and systems across the organisation. We have a strong focus on implementing AI, offering great opportunities to develop your technical skills in this role.
Your Tasks: Keeping Payroll Run in compliance and optimizing process
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be an important part of the team, amongst others handling below tasks:
- Preparing, controlling, and processing payroll for approximately 1,100 colleagues in Denmark across multiple companies.
- Supporting colleagues in preparing, controlling, and processing payroll for companies in the Nordics and Poland.
- Acting as the point of contact for questions regarding payroll, tax, holiday pay, and related topics in our shared payroll mailboxes.
- Documenting and optimising processes, including capturing these in SOPs and work descriptions.
- Contributing to larger changes in processes and systems.
Are organised and goal\-oriented, with the ability to maintain an overview as deadlines approach. You thrive working independently and value collaboration and knowledge sharing. With strong communication skills, you create a positive environment and provide sparring to both managers and employees. You are also motivated by continuous development and process optimisation as well as
- Have at least 5 years of experience with in\-house payroll processing for salaried employees.
- Have a solid understanding of Danish payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Understand payroll accounting.
- Have experience with reimbursements and knowledge of rules regarding maternity/paternity leave and sick leave.
- Are fluent in both written and spoken Danish and possess good English skills.
- Are familiar with Microsoft Office and, preferably, SAP.
- Are motivated to explore and use AI as part of your daily work.
