Markets Business Technology (MBT) is a tribe of 200\+ professionals within Danske Bank’s LC\&I business unit focused on building digital solutions that enable seamless market transactions for our clients.
The Opportunity
Join the Rates E\-Trading team in the Markets Business Technology tribe, where we build and evolve the platform used for trading fixed income products in Danske Bank. You will work closely with traders and sales to develop state\-of\-the\-art electronic trading capabilities, turning business needs into robust technical solutions with direct front\-office impact.
In this role, you will help shape a business\-critical platform in a domain where performance, reliability, and time\-to\-market matter.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain .NET\-based services and applications that power our fixed income e\-trading.
- Work directly with traders, sales, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive improvements in architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability across our fixed income trading platform.
- Contribute to the full software lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.
- Take on full\-stack development tasks requiring contributions to both backend and frontend components.
- Help modernize development practices through clean code, code reviews, automation, CI/CD, and observability.
- Collaborate closely in a cross\-functional agile team and contribute to technical discussions, design decisions, and continuous improvement.
- Several years of experience as a software developer, with strong expertise in C\# and .NET (or another strongly typed language)
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including design, testing, performance, and reliability
- Hands\-on experience building backend components and operating production systems
- Experience with CI/CD and automation across build, test, and deployment workflows
- Exposure to modern cloud technologies such as containers, orchestration, and managed services
- Motivated by taking ownership end\-to\-end and building reliable systems that deliver value for the business
- Collaborative and eager to contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing across the team
- Curious about financial markets and motivated by working close to front\-office users in a fast\-moving trading environment
- Able to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written
- Fixed Income knowledge
- Database and AWS skills
- Experience building frontend components
