<p>Compass is looking for a strategic, high-performing Senior Manager of Corporate Real Estate Transactions to oversee and optimize a dynamic segment of our 1,000+ location national office portfolio. This role acts as a critical business partner, working alongside regional leaders to ensure our physical workplace strategy accelerates agent success while aligning with corporate financial goals.</p>
<p>You are someone who thrives on complete transaction ownership - from initial market underwriting and site selection through final lease execution. You bring a rigorous financial mindset to portfolio optimization, lease restructurings, and renewals, serving as a powerful voice in how Compass scales its physical footprint.</p>
<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Transaction Execution:</strong> Lead the end-to-end transactional lifecycle, including site identification, LOI drafting, and final lease negotiation for new locations, renewals, expansions, and downsizings.</li>
<li><strong>Financial Underwriting:</strong> Conduct detailed financial analyses, creating comparative lease models and business cases to present to executive leadership.</li>
<li><strong>Portfolio Optimization:</strong> Continuously evaluate portfolio performance and market trends. Proactively identify opportunities for rent reduction, space optimization, and strategic relocations to maximize cost efficiencies.</li>
<li><strong>Critical Date Management:</strong> Maintain absolute oversight of the portfolio timeline, ensuring options (renewal, termination, contraction) are executed strategically and well ahead of deadlines.</li>
<li><strong>Cross-Functional Leadership:</strong> Partner seamlessly with internal Legal, Finance, Workplace Design, and Construction teams, as well as external broker networks, to drive project delivery on time and within budget.</li>
<li><strong>Stakeholder Management:</strong> Build strong consensus and alignment with regional presidents and business leaders, translating complex real estate data into clear, actionable executive presentations.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.</li>
<li>5–7 years of corporate commercial real estate experience, with a heavy emphasis on multi-location office or retail portfolios.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in independently negotiating commercial leases, amendments, and complex legal provisions.</li>
<li>Strong financial acumen with deep experience in commercial lease economics, both operating and capital costs. </li>
<li>Deep familiarity with West Coast/California commercial real estate markets is highly preferred.</li>
<li>Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable navigating a collaborative, fast-paced corporate culture.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel as required by portfolio needs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Compensation:</strong> The base pay range for this position is $165,000-$185,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><div>
