Senior Management Accountant

The role of Management Accountant involves overseeing financial reporting and analysis within the industrial sector. This is a challenging role working closely with group, overseeing monthly management accounts, the full P+L and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be partnering with commercial teams around the business.

Description

Senior Management Accountant responsibilities include:

• Ownership of the month-end close process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting


• Production of monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary


• Preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with operational stakeholders


• Business partnering with site and operational management to provide financial support and insight


• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns


• Supporting external audit processes and liaising with Group finance


• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures

Profile

Senior Management Accountant requirements include:

• A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)


• Proven experience in management accounting, ideally within an SME environment


• The ability to work proactively and on your own initiative, identifying opportunities to add value


• The resilience and organisation skills to thrive in a busy role with tight deadlines


• This role is based 3 days per week in the office near Sittingbourne in Kent and 2 days from home, so please ensure this location is viable for you for 3 days per week before applying.


• Must drive to get to location.

Job Offer

• A salary level of up to £65,000 dependent on experience


• Bonus potential of up to 12.5%


• 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays


• Hybrid working - 3 days in the office near Sittingbourne and 2 days from home
