Senior Laboratory Engineer – Allergy Product Verification, R\&D Allergy

This position is within the ImmunoDiagnostic Division in Uppsala, Sweden. Our division has around 1600 employees worldwide and is market leader within diagnostic tests for allergy and autoimmune diseases. We have our headquarter in Uppsala where we also have our research and development as well as manufacturing for all our allergy diagnostics products.
The Allergy Product Verification group at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Uppsala, is an interdisciplinary team of 11 driven and engaged colleagues that belong to the R\&D Allergy department. The group has verification responsibility for most of the company’s allergy diagnostic products. We are now looking to expand and further strengthen our group with a new colleague.
How will you make an impact?
As a member of Allergy Product Verification, you will work hands on with verifying that our products meet internal and regulatory requirements while maintaining good quality. You will be involved in planning and performing studies on products within the allergy diagnostics field as well as making sure that our ways of working is efficient and according to best practise.
What will you do?
- Plan, perform, evaluate and document verification studies
- Develop our ways of working with our instruments. Maintaining, updating and programming of an internal system.
- Support and collaborate with internal teams
Education:
- Applicants should have a Master of Science degree, or equivalent work experience, in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1\-3 years of laboratory experience preferred.
- Programming experience is a merit
- Experience with regulatory and quality related activities, ISO and IVD regulations, is a merit
- Self\-motivated, independent and strong critical thinking.
- Strong lab skills.
- An interest in system development.
- Individual must work well in a team environment and be adaptable to changes in priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills and cross functional work experience
- Must be organized and detail oriented to be able to prioritize own and other’s work and meet business productivity metrics.
- Good word processing and spreadsheet software skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
