About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to design and build scalable backend solutions for financial data platforms. You will develop APIs, ensure software quality through modern engineering practices, and collaborate with business users throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend solutions using Java 21 and Spring;
- Build and integrate APIs for financial data platforms;
- Develop and optimise solutions using PostgreSQL;
- Apply microservices, unit testing, version control, and CI/CD best practices;
- Collaborate with business and technical teams from requirements through delivery;
- Contribute to code quality, performance, and platform reliability.
Mandatory Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Java development experience;
- Recent experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem;
- Knowledge of Java 21;
- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience;
- Experience developing APIs and microservices;
- Solid knowledge of unit testing, version control, and CI/CD;
- Fluent English;
- Availability for hybrid work in Lisbon.
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services or financial data platforms;
- Basic or intermediate French.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Java engineer with strong backend expertise, solid development practices, and the ability to build reliable and scalable solutions. You communicate confidently in English and collaborate effectively with technical teams and business users.
