Senior IT technician and Data Manager (Maternity cover)
Job Summary
Hazelwood School is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Senior IT Technician \& Data Manager to join our team on a maternity cover contract, commencing 1 August 2026\. This start date ensures a comprehensive handover period before the substantive postholder begins maternity leave in early September.
This is a pivotal role within our Operations and Academic teams, combining leadership of ICT support across the school with responsibility for the management, integrity and reporting of key academic and operational data
Duties
ICT Responsibilities
· Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the ICT department.
· Provide 1st–3rd line technical support to staff and pupils.
· Oversee network performance, hardware management, system maintenance and cybersecurity practices (in liaison with external ICT partners).
· Line Management the IT Technician
· Contribute to ICT projects, system upgrades, and new technology roll\-out.
Data Management Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate, reliable and secure pupil data across school systems.
· Lead the production, analysis and distribution of academic reports and data for teachers, Heads of Department and Senior Leadership.
· Manage assessment data, including exam results, internal assessments and statutory returns (e.g., census).
· Support the timetable import process and ensure all configurations are accurate.
· Oversee the production and publication of school reports for parents.
