<h2>About the role</h2>
<p data-start="604" data-end="711">We are looking for a <strong data-start="625" data-end="667">Senior Infrastructure Engineer</strong> to join our Infrastructure & Platform team.</p>
<p data-start="713" data-end="915">In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions across AWS cloud environments and on-premise datacenters.</p>
<p data-start="917" data-end="1257">You will play a key role in driving the evolution of our hybrid cloud strategy, ensuring seamless integration between cloud and on-premise systems while supporting business-critical services at scale. This position combines deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, virtualization, automation, and operational excellence.</p>
<p data-start="1259" data-end="1489">As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to infrastructure architecture, mentor engineers, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, Security, DevOps, and Software Engineering teams.</p>
<p data-start="1491" data-end="1727">This role is ideal for experienced infrastructure professionals who enjoy working across both cloud-native and traditional enterprise environments, combining hands-on technical work with architectural ownership and technical leadership.</p>
<p data-start="1491" data-end="1727"><strong>What you'll do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design, deploy, and maintain core hybrid infrastructure across on-premise datacenters and AWS environments.</li>
<li>Support the implementation and operation of secure, high-availability hybrid cloud connections.</li>
<li>Administer foundational AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Route 53, and ELB/ALB.</li>
<li>Configure secure networking and connectivity between cloud and datacenter environments using AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPNs, and VPC Peering.</li>
<li>Manage Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server infrastructure platforms and core networking services (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, LDAP).</li>
<li>Administer virtualization environments (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM).</li>
<li>Handle physical datacenter operations, including server hardware maintenance, rack management, and operator room operations.</li>
<li>Perform occasional travel to physical datacenters for hardware intervention, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.</li>
<li>Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot basic production Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.</li>
<li>Assist storage operations, backups, SAN/NAS management, and disaster recovery execution.</li>
<li>Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment workflows using Terraform.</li>
<li>Maintain network security through firewalls, VLAN configurations, and routing policies.</li>
<li>Monitor system health, performance, and security across both cloud and on-premise systems.</li>
<li>Assist in cloud migration initiatives, capacity planning, and basic cost optimization efforts.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional, distributed teams to ensure operational continuity and security compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001).</li>
<li>Produce and maintain clear technical documentation in English.</li>

<div><strong>Experience & Availability</strong></div>

<li><strong>5+ years</strong> of hands-on experience in systems and infrastructure engineering.</li>
<li><strong>2+ years</strong> in production environments using cloud preferably <strong>AWS</strong>.</li>
<li>Proven track record designing, building, and maintaining <strong>hybrid cloud architectures</strong> (preferably AWS + On-Premise integration).</li>
<li>Basic Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting <strong>Kubernetes</strong> clusters in production environments.</li>
<li>Basic experience operating in international, distributed, and cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>You must reside in <strong>Madrid</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Availability to travel:</strong> Occasional travel required to physical data centers for hardware management, maintenance, or infrastructure projects.</li>
