Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Senior Industrial Electrical Engineer to join our experienced engineering team.
The Role
We are seeking a highly capable and motivated engineer with strong industrial electrical experience who can work independently across a wide range of industrial environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, carrying out planned maintenance, completing installations and supporting customers during breakdown situations. The role involves working on motors, control panels, conveyors, pumps, process machinery and three\-phase electrical systems throughout East Anglia.
Whilst primarily an electrical role, a practical understanding of mechanical equipment and fault diagnosis would be highly advantageous. Experience working with bearings, gearboxes, rotating equipment and industrial machinery is desirable.
This position would suit an engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working on varied industrial plant rather than repetitive installation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently diagnose and repair electrical faults on industrial plant and equipment.
- Attend customer breakdowns and provide effective solutions.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Install, test and commission electrical systems and equipment.
- Work on motors, pumps, control panels, conveyors and process machinery.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and control circuits.
- Assist with fault diagnosis on electro\-mechanical equipment.
- Support workshop overhaul and repair activities involving motors, pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment.
- Produce accurate reports and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current legislation and company procedures.
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- City \& Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical fault\-finding and diagnostic ability.
- Experience working on motors, motor controls and three\-phase systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Sand and gravel processing plants, quarries, recycling facilities or manufacturing environments.
- Variable speed drives and motor control systems.
- Inspection and testing qualifications.
- Mechanical fault diagnosis.
- Bearings, gearboxes, pumps and rotating equipment.
- PLC fault finding and industrial control systems.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year
