Senior ICT Application Developer (m/f/d)

About the Job

As Senior ICT Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining PL/1 applications that support the Allianz Business Systems functions.This role involves system maintenance, collaboration with cross\-functional teams and continuous improvement to ensure high\-quality, efficient and reliable software solutions.

What you do

• Design, develop, test and debug PL/1 applications to meet organizational requirements and align with industry standards.


• Monitor, enhance, and troubleshoot existing PL/1 applications to improve performance and functionality.


• Work in partnership with business analysts, technical teams, and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.


• Conduct comprehensive code reviews and testing to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements.


• Create, update, and manage detailed technical documentation for PL/1 applications to support ongoing system maintenance and knowledge sharing.


• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize business impact.


• Stay informed on industry trends, tools and technologies to implement innovative practices in PL/1 development.

• Proven experience as a PL/1 Developer or a similar role in software development. Proficient in PL/1 programming language with hands\-on experience in application development.


• Expertise in working within Linux environments with microfocus and associated technologies as well as familiarity with database management systems such as DB2\.


• Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills for technical issue resolution.


• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in cross\-functional teams, with the ability to prepare and manage detailed technical documentation.


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Practical knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and methodologies.
