We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer
Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team at a leading financial institution in Zurich, Switzerland.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the frontend architecture of mission critical financial platforms, driving technical excellence.
You bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, combined with strong engineering judgment, a passion for high quality user experiences, and a solid understanding of enterprise scale systems in regulated environments.
In addition to enhancing our core platform, the team is building a strategic new channel that brings investment capabilities directly to the bank's external clients through seamless integration with the e\-banking platform. Engineers joining the team will have the opportunity to shape the architecture, scalability, and operational model of this highly visible initiative from an early stage.
YOUR CHALLENGE

- Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long‑term maintainability
- Partner closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high‑quality user experiences
- Deliver high‑quality, production‑grade React and TypeScript code for complex financial applications
- Address advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimization, and integration with distributed backend systems
- Proactively refactor and modernize existing codebases where required
- Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in both development and production environments
- Contribute actively in an agile, fast‑paced, and highly collaborative environment

- Extensive, hands‑on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript , with a strong focus on React at enterprise scale
- Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, tools, and frameworks (React, Node.js, build tooling)
- Proven experience working with design systems and large, shared component libraries
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scripting
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence technical direction
- Proven ability to thrive in agile, cross‑functional teams
