The role: Senior FP\&A Manager

Join our Finance team at British Airways, the engine room behind the decisions that keep our airline flying high! This team plays a critical role in shaping our financial strategy—providing the insight, planning, and analysis that guide everything from day\-to\-day operations to long\-term investment decisions. Without them, we simply couldn’t navigate a complex, fast\-moving industry. If you love turning numbers into stories and influencing big decisions, this is where you belong!

What you’ll do:

• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long\-range planning across multiple business areas


• Oversee accruals and ensure robust financial reporting during month\-end cycles


• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support key decisions


• Analyse performance and uncover opportunities to improve profitability


• Deliver scenario planning and modelling to support strategic initiatives


• Partner with Finance Business Partners to provide insightful month\-end commentary


• Support business case development and challenge assumptions with confidence


• Drive improvements in financial processes, championing automation and efficiency


• Provide clear, actionable insights to senior leadership


• Mentor and develop junior team members, helping them grow their careers

You’re analytical, curious, and driven to turn numbers into meaningful insights that influence real decisions. You communicate clearly and confidently, making complex ideas easy to understand. A strong collaborator, you build relationships across teams and enjoy working in a fast\-paced environment. You’re proactive, solution\-focused, and always looking for smarter ways of working, while bringing the leadership mindset to support and develop others and contribute to a high\-performing team.

Your experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)


• Solid experience in FP\&A or financial planning roles


• Strong understanding of forecasting cycles and business performance drivers


• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills


• Good knowledge of IFRS/accounting standards


• Experience with tools such as SAP, Anaplan, or Power BI


• Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
