The Munich based Accounting team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our accounting organization and become a major contributor to our Accounting team. Key job responsibilities

• Being a strong team player taking ownership and demonstrating self\-initiative


• Drive or participate in national and international accounting projects


• Business partnering within the Amazon group


• Develop and manage scalable and automated processes


• International coordination with the global Accounting organization


• Responsibility for month\-end, quarter\-end and year\-end closing of financial books.


• Assessment and evaluation of GAAP\-to\-GAAP differences


• Support improvements in accounting processes, internal workflows and implementation of best practices

About the team

Finance and Global Business ServicesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
------------------------

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or experience or equivalent experience in finance roles


• Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (including US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP frameworks), with the ability to apply them in day\-to\-day financial activities


• Speak, write, and read fluently in English


• Experience supporting month\-end closing processes and contributing to financial reporting under established procedures


• Experience supporting the implementation of controls or contributing to audits over financial reporting environments


• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions


• Knowledge of SOX methodology and associated standards (sections 302, 404, AS5, PCAOB, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
----------------------------

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)


• Experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables, macros, VBA, Power Query)


• Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau)
