Senior Financial Accounting Manager

A leading organisation operating across large scale commercial operations is seeking a Senior Financial Accounting Manager to join its finance team on the outskirts of Northampton.

Hybrid - 3 days on site.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who thrives on detail, accuracy, and problem-solving. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the integrity of technical reporting across multiple UK business units, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and enhance financial processes.

What you'll do:

• Ensure financial reporting is accurate and in line with accounting standards, contractual terms and internal policies


• Review and approve key accounting judgements, including timing considerations and associated balance sheet positions


• Oversee and analyse intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate treatment for group reporting


• Provide technical accounting support on new contracts, complex transactions, and judgemental areas such as provisions and leases


• Partner with senior business stakeholders to provide clear guidance on technical accounting matters


• Identify and drive process improvements across reporting and control frameworks


• Contribute to wider finance transformation initiatives, including systems improvements


• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards

What you'll bring:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong financial accounting and audit background


• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commercial mindset


• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems


• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively


• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
