Finance at Capital on Tap
Our Finance team sits at the heart of everything we do. The team is responsible for financial reporting, statutory compliance, payroll, and treasury across our UK and US entities, working closely with the rest of the business to ensure we have the financial foundations to keep growing. We're a lean, high-ownership team where you'll get real breadth across the finance function and plenty of opportunity to shape how things are done as we scale.
What You'll Be Doing 
As a Senior Finance Analyst/Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in the financial reporting process, ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately and all reporting requirements are met.

<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Month-End Processes: Supporting the preparation of month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations across multiple group entities.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Ledger Oversight: Ensuring transactions are captured and reconciled correctly in line with IFRS and UK GAAP, directly supporting the Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Operations Manager in maintaining accurate financial records.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll processes, managing queries, and preparing monthly payroll reconciliations.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Preparing and substantiating monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Bank Reconciliation: Designing systems for managing receivables, payables, expenses, invoices, and late payments, and developing comprehensive reports to support balance management and timely error detection.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Debt Sale Management: Supporting the development and management of debt sale processes to ensure alignment with business objectives, coordinating between UK and US subsidiaries and overseeing legal requirements.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Statutory Reporting: Supporting the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries under IFRS or UK GAAP, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Audit Support: Working closely with external auditors during audits, addressing queries, and ensuring timely resolution of audit issues.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Team Collaboration: Working closely with other finance team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and supporting ad hoc financial tasks as required.</li>
</ul>
We're Looking For
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Part or fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA-qualified (or equivalent).</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Strong understanding of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL reporting tools.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Able to work collaboratively and build effective relationships across teams.</li>
</ul>
Nice to have:

<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Exposure to consolidated UK statutory reporting.</li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Experience with NetSuite or other integrated financial systems. </li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Experience using AI tools to enhance processes and increase efficiency.</li>
