Senior Finance & Grants Officer
The Senior Finance & Grant Officer serves as the dedicated financial steward and
primary compliance gatekeeper responsible for the end-to-end financial management
of a portfolio of assigned projects, grants, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Description
1. SLA & Project Setup Support (Central Control)
- Participate in the review of the final budget prepared by Regional Finance and
cash flow phasing/milestones.
- Enter SLA budgets, project structures, milestones, donor conditions, and
- Ensure correct coding, dimensions, donor rules, and financial attributes are

- Vet milestones and confirm achievement before triggering billing to donors.
- Upload supporting documentation to ERP for AR processing.

- Oversee expenditure vs budget and highlight variances.
- Act as final central reviewer for project financial reports before donor
- Ensure donor compliance, including cost recovery and overhead application.
- Monitor fund flows and maintain visibility of available funds to support

- Investigate discrepancies in income, postings, or project reporting.
- Prepare adjustments or refund documentation for AP/AR execution.

Profile
A successful Senior Finance & Grants Officer should have:
- Strong experience in finance and grants management within the Not For Profit sector.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and grant compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- A relevant qualification in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Hourly rate of £18.00 to £20.00, dependent on the level of experience.
- Temporary contract offering flexibility.
