As a central compliance function, GCO develops group\-wide standards and monitors their implementation. Senior Expert ESG \& Customs Compliance (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
- Take subject\-matter responsibility for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) as well as export control compliance topics, with a focus on customs\-related issues (e.g. CBAM)
- Develop practical policies, standards, and processes to ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business units
- Advise internal stakeholders on technical and strategic questions as well as escalations
- Identify legal risks and derive appropriate mitigation measures
- Contribute to authority inquiries, audits, and cross\-functional projects
- Represent DHL Group in industry associations and to authorities, both nationally and internationally, and actively participate in internal expert committees
- University degree in law or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in ESG or export control topics, ideally with basic knowledge of customs law and experience in the logistics industry
- Strong affinity for legal regulations, complex topics, and logistics business models and processes
- Proven experience in implementing and ensuring compliance standards, as well as very strong experience and knowledge in project management
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills combined with a highly self\-driven, structured working style
- Confident appearance, strong communication and presentation skills, and professional stakeholder management in both national and international contexts
- Fluent in German and English; willingness to travel (\< 25%)
