Senior Enterprise Manager (Biosciences)
Hours of work: Full\-time \- 35 hours per week
Tenure: Fixed term until 31 July 2027 subject to funding
Hybrid Working: Minimum requirement of 40% on Campus, with 60% considered desirable where possible
Liverpool University Enterprise Team are seeking an experienced technology transfer professional with a passion for transforming pioneering life sciences research into therapeutic and diagnostic products.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of translational research, venture creation, and health innovation.
You will have a lead role in identifying, protecting, and commercialising high\-potential life science opportunities, guiding researchers from discovery to impact through licensing and spin\-out creation.
The Senior Enterprise Manager will manage a portfolio of life sciences innovations, working closely with academic researchers, investors, and industry partners.
We are recruiting a commercially minded and highly motivated individual with substantial experience in life sciences technology transfer in higher education or in the pharmaceutical industry.
You should bring:
- Significant experience in technology transfer, venture creation or commercialisation in the life sciences sector
- A proven track record of negotiating pharmaceutical or biotechnology licensing agreements.
- An extensive network across life sciences, pharmaceutical and investment communities.
- Ability to assess market opportunities, commercial potential and investment readiness
- Experience of supporting spin\-out creation.
- A strong understanding of IP protection, patent strategy and bioscience commercialisation pathways
- A degree in life sciences discipline (a PhD is desirable).
