Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Develop thermomechanical models and perform simulations to evaluate deformation and stress in microelectronic products
- Conduct sensitivity and optimization studies to identify the most effective thermomechanical designs and material concepts
- Provide simulation\-based insights to internal stakeholders, helping to minimize thermomechanical failure risks and ensure product reliability
- Drive the validation and calibration of simulation models through comparison with experimental data
- Advance simulation methodologies by integrating state\-of\-the\-art virtual and experimental approaches
- Collaborate within a global R\&D environment to support the development of innovative semiconductor products
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline; a PhD is considered an advantage
- 3\-5 years of professional experience in CAE simulation with a focus on structural mechanics, ideally using Ansys
- Strong expertise in programming and large\-scale data processing, including experience with Python, MATLAB, or equivalent tools for automation, sensitivity studies, and optimization
- Solid understanding of nonlinear material behavior, including plasticity, viscoelasticity, and fracture mechanics
- Experience with homogenization techniques for composite materials with anisotropic thermal and/or mechanical properties; knowledge of thermomechanical modeling of semiconductor devices, packages, or electronic systems is a plus
- Fluent English skills with good German language skills
