About the Role
We are recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing building services engineering team in Cardiff.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced electrical building services engineer to take ownership of technical workstreams, support project delivery across a varied portfolio and contribute to a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
You will work on projects across a range of building sectors, producing high\-quality electrical design solutions while working closely with clients, architects, contractors and internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical building services designs across multidisciplinary projects of varying size and complexity.
- Produce engineering reports, calculations, drawings, specifications and design packages.
- Develop electrical design concepts in line with project briefs, programme requirements and relevant regulations.
- Attend client meetings, design reviews, coordination sessions and site inspections.
- Coordinate electrical design work with mechanical, public health and other project disciplines.
- Support project resource planning, fee monitoring, delivery reporting and programme management.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to apprentices, graduates and developing engineers.
- Maintain high standards of design quality, technical accuracy and timely project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven electrical engineering experience within building services consultancy or the wider built environment.
- Experience delivering electrical designs for complex building projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems, regulations and technical design processes.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and digital design tools, including Revit, BIM, Dialux, Relux and Electrical OM.
- Experience working collaboratively with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage priorities, deadlines and technical deliverables independently.
- Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder\-management skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to support the development of junior colleagues.
