We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Senior Development Manager to support the Property Department with both scheduled and reactive tasks. This role plays a vital part in delivering commercial initiatives and owning the look and feel of the Superdrug and Savers portfolio. Responsibilities include setting the commercial development agenda, designing and developing all new innovation and the costing and delivery for all roll outs. This person will need to work cross functionally with excellent project management and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Implementation, you will work closely with the commercial teams to agree new fixture requirements, fixture design and rollout programme for any category that requires an innovative solution to enhance both the look and feel of the product and the customer engagement.
· You will monitor and evaluate the retail market to understand what innovation is taking place in different sectors.
· Working with our commercial teams, you will define the brief for all new fixture development, whilst considering cost, design, delivery and ESG.
· You will prepare and present board papers, requesting project CAPEX approval.
· You will follow ASW procurement process, conducting all tenders and quotation processes.
· You will work with space planning team to understand the space and location of any new solution, agreeing target stores based on segment.
· You will take Health and Safety matters into consideration and ensure we are compliant.
· Ability to manage a project from concept to implementation, whilst considering operational and cost efficiencies.
· Manage and own the critical path for all fixture development projects whilst considering the efficiencies of any roll out
· Management of external facilities and stock control, ensuring fixture arrives in the right place at the right time.

What youll need:
· You will have project management experience and contract management.
· You will have experience in managing a team at a good level
· Commercial experience working within the retail sector balancing technical and commercial decisions.
· Youll have the ability to travel within the UK.
· Your prior experience will demonstrate successful work with external contractors, design agencies and project or implementation managers.
· The ability to undertake projects yourself as well as working in larger teams either with colleagues and/or our partners in external firms.
· Experience in both vendor management and procurement management.
· The ability to use Microsoft suite including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Powerpoint and Word as well as online and internal databases
