Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

Location: Covent Garden, Hybrid

About the role:

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and implementation of advanced data science and AI strategies that support BSI’s digital transformation. This role blends technical expertise, innovation, and leadership — mentoring others while driving data\-led decision\-making across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead data analysis projects and solve complex data challenges.


• Design, build, and deliver scalable AI and machine learning solutions.


• Contribute to the DSAI strategic roadmap aligned with BSI’s goals.


• Ensure quality, transparency, and compliance with AI standards (ISO 42001\).


• Maintain and evolve tools and technologies across structured and unstructured data.


• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver insights.


• Mentor and guide junior data scientists.


• Represent BSI’s data science team at internal and external events.


• Promote a culture of data\-driven innovation across the organisation.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• 3\+ years’ experience in a data science role solving real\-world business problems.


• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL (experience with Databricks a plus).


• Strong understanding of machine learning, LLMs, and data analysis pipelines.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.


• A proactive, flexible mindset with a passion for uncovering value through data.
