Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) Global IT

At SPORTFIVE, data powers intelligent decision\-making, advanced analytics, and next\-generation fan experiences across global sports. We're accelerating our AI transformation and seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in AI\-enabled platforms, financial data, and modern Lakehouse architectures.
YOUR ROLE AT A GLANCE
- Design/build AI\-ready Lakehouse architectures (Databricks, Fabric) and data pipelines for analytics/ML
- Develop financial data models (Data Vault 2\.0\) with governance (Purview, Unity Catalog)
- Architect AI infrastructure: Cognitive Search, RAG, vector DBs, knowledge graphs for agentic AI
- Optimize Databricks \+ establish CI/CD/DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps)
- Ensure security, lineage, compliance via RBAC and metadata management
- Collaborate across data, AI, and business teams to deliver a scalable platform
- 8\+ years Azure data/AI engineering with Python/SQL expertise
- Deep experience: Databricks, Fabric, Lakehouse architectures
- AI/ML integration (OpenAI, Cognitive Services, RAG, vector search)
- Data modeling, Delta Lake, performance optimization, financial data
- Governance tools (Purview, Unity Catalog) \+ CI/CD/DevOps practices
- Distributed processing across SQL/NoSQL with strong analytical mindset
