Project

A project focused on the design, automation and evolution of large‑scale DataCenter network infrastructures, including switching fabrics, inter‑DC connectivity and perimeter security. The mission is to accelerate the transformation toward a NetDevOps model, automating provisioning, configuration, validation and observability, ensuring reliability, scalability and security across DataCenter environments.

Role

• Senior DataCenter Engineer – Switching \& Perimeter Security


• Design and evolve DataCenter network architectures: spine‑leaf fabrics, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP/OSPF, multi‑tenancy, DCI, QoS and traffic engineering


• Design and evolve perimeter security layers: next‑generation firewalls, segmentation and micro‑segmentation, IDS/IPS, VPNs and load balancing


• Develop and maintain automation solutions for provisioning, configuration and lifecycle management of DataCenter equipment (switches, firewalls, load balancers)


• Implement CI/CD and IaC pipelines for network changes, including automated validation, dry‑run testing and rollback mechanisms


• Implement network telemetry (streaming telemetry, gNMI/gRPC, SNMP) and observability dashboards for capacity planning


• Support operations in complex incidents, including security‑related events and root‑cause analysis


• Produce technical documentation, configuration standards, security policies and automation best practices


• Mentor junior engineers and promote NetDevOps practices


• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to evaluate new technologies and conduct proof‑of‑concepts

• Solid expertise in DataCenter switching:


• Spine‑leaf fabrics, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP/OSPF


• vPC/MLAG, STP, L2 protection mechanisms, multicast and QoS


• Multi‑tenant architectures and EVPN Multi‑Site


• Integration with VMware, Kubernetes and storage networks (iSCSI, RoCE)


• Multi‑vendor experience (Cisco Nexus/ACI, Arista EOS/CloudVision, Juniper QFX/Apstra, Nokia)


• Solid expertise in perimeter security:


• Next‑generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, CheckPoint)


• Security policies, NAT, IPsec/SSL VPNs, traffic inspection


• Segmentation, micro‑segmentation, DMZ, Zero Trust


• IDS/IPS, DDoS mitigation, WAF, load balancers (F5 or equivalent)


• Network hardening and control‑plane protection


• Solid expertise in automation and development:


• Advanced Python for networking and software engineering best practices (Git, testing, code review)


• Ansible at scale; YANG models; NETCONF/RESTCONF/gNMI


• CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub) for network changes


• Virtual labs (Containerlab, GNS3\) for validation


• Telemetry and observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK)


• Minimum 8 years of network engineering experience, including 5 years in large‑scale DataCenter environments


• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in network automation projects


• Experience in DataCenter transformation projects (VXLAN/EVPN migration, DC consolidation, segmentation/micro‑segmentation) is highly valued

• Cisco CCNP/CCIE Data Center


• Juniper JNCIP‑DC / JNCIE‑DC


• Arista ACE (advanced levels)


• Palo Alto PCNSE / Fortinet NSE7 (FCSS) or equivalent


• Cisco DevNet Professional or DevNet Expert


• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation


• Python programming certifications
