Senior Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.


• Develop, review, and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with residents and multidisciplinary teams.


• Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure consistent high standards of care.


• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to address needs and promote a positive environment.


• Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records, incident reports, and progress notes.


• Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols.


• Promote safety protocols within the care home environment and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a care home or senior care setting with supervisory responsibilities.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.


• Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and colleagues.


• Knowledge of care plans development and adherence to regulatory standards.


• Valid driving license preferred for supporting resident outings or errands.


• Competency in using IT systems for documentation and record keeping.


• Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding procedures and health \& safety regulations.

Pay: £14\.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 42\.0 per week
