We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the completely new care team at Verbeia Grange Residential Home, a newly refurbished care home opening in Ilkley in October 2026\.
Verbeia Grange is part of Holden Grange Care Group, a trusted local care provider that has been supporting people since 1984.

About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role within the care team, supporting Care Assistants and helping to ensure our residents receive consistently high standards of care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting Care Assistants during your shift
- Providing high\-quality, person\-centred care to our residents
- Supporting residents with their individual needs, choices and daily routines
- Administering and recording medication safely
- Completing and maintaining accurate care records
- Supporting with care plans and risk assessments
- Communicating effectively with residents, relatives and other professionals
- Promoting residents' dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing
- Helping to create a positive, friendly and supportive culture within our new home
We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable and confident, with previous experience working within a residential or similar care environment.
Ideally, you will:
- Have previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant
- Be medication trained and confident administering medication
- Have a good understanding of person\-centred care
- Be confident supporting and guiding other members of the care team
- Have good communication and organisational skills
- Be dependable, approachable and compassionate
- Be excited about joining a completely new team and helping us build something special from day one

Positions are for day shifts or Night Shifts working to a rota set well in advance. What you can expect from us:
