Hourly rate: £14\.00
30 hours over 4 days (many opportunities to pick up extra shifts)
Paid breaks; extra pay on all bank holidays; staff incentives and bonuses
We are currently looking for a passionate, kind and enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to join our well\-trained and friendly team of staff.
Job Purpose:
You will look after the day\-to\-day needs of our residents, whilst showing compassion, care and commitment to having a positive impact on their lives. You will work with and lead a team of like\-minded individuals, all with a desire to ensure that our residents are comfortable in their home. You will take on key additional responsibilities including updating care plans and administering medicine.
Duties include:
- Leading shifts in a manner which ensures a calm atmosphere in the home.
- Helping our residents with daily personal care such as washing, dressing, using the toilet and feeding themselves, ensuring that they are as comfortable and as well looked after as possible.
- Assisting our residents with mobility, turning, positioning. Providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Responding to the nurse call system promptly.
- General household tasks such as making beds, ironing and tidying up.
- Getting to know out residents so that you can deliver care that is tailored to their individual needs.
- Maintaining resident stability by checking vital signs, body mass, testing urine, recording intake and output information.
- Creating and updating care plans monthly.
- Administering and ordering medicine and treatments.
- Documenting all actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.

Experience:
Ideally you will have previously worked as a Senior Carer in the care sector with old age and dementia and hold (or be working towards) a QCF Level 3 qualification. You must be double vaccinated for this role.
