Farthings are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed, and experienced Senior Carer. You should be able to lead a team and show warmth and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care. Farthings has farmhouse origins and is a home from home privately owned Care Home with 22 beds.

As a Senior Carer at Farthings, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the delivery of quality of care by continually assessing our residents needs and wishes


• Developing, reviewing and updating care plans to meet our residents changing physical, social and psychological needs


• Administer medication and maintain appropriate levels


• Communicating professionally and warmly with visitors and family, and other health care professionals


• Promoting high standards of care by ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and shifts run in a smooth and efficient manner


• Promoting the Home in a professional manner, by becoming actively involved in raising awareness of the Home within the local community


• Completing quality audits as requested by the Registered Manager


• You should have a positive attitude and ensure a person centered approach is adopted whilst showing compassion and a desire to make a difference. It is important you are able to demonstrate leadership qualities and willing to take ownership for the delivery of quality care.

You should hold a minimum of a NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, ideally you will have or be working towards a NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and must have a right to work in the UK, we do not offer sponsorship for overseas workers. Ideally you should have a minimum of two years experience of working with the elderly in a health and social care setting. Previous experience of working as a Senior Carer/Team Leader is advantageous.

Farthings has farmhouse origins and is a home from home privately owned Care Home with 22 beds. Farthings is rated 'good' in all areas inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is band 5 Nottinghamshire County Council rated. The home holds a 5\* food hygiene rating and has won the Care Home of the Year award at the local C.H.A.S.E awards. In addition, Farthings has been awarded a score of 9\.1 on carehome.co.uk, the leading UK care home review website.

We have a permanent 22\-hour contract available, with an immediate start available. The shift times will predominantly be 1900\-0700.

Shifts are pre\-planned on a rota app and additional shifts can be picked up as and when you wish through the app. Additional hours which may be picked up if you choose would be either 0700\-1300, 0700\-1900, 1300\-1900, 1800\-2300 or 1900\-0700\. Shifts will include include weekends and bank holidays.

We pay overtime rates for all bank holidays and provide a workplace pension.

Pay: £13\.30\-£13\.70 per hour
