Seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager/Sales Director to join the Contract Division and play a key role in expanding their presence within the UK luxury residential and hospitality markets.

You'll work with developers, main contractors, architects, and interior designers to deliver premium furniture and joinery solutions for prestigious residential and hospitality projects across London and the UK.

They are now looking for a senior commercial operator to join their team as either a Senior BDM or Sales Director depending on their experience.

Description

The Senior Business Development Manager or Sales Director will be responsible for driving new business growth, developing strategic client relationships, and supporting the day-to-day commercial activities of the contract department. This role requires a proactive individual with strong industry knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record in contract sales or business development within the luxury residential and/or hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities will include;

  • Identify and track new residential and hospitality projects entering the market.

  • Proactively promote furniture solutions, and services to developers, hotel operators, main contractors, architects, and interior designers.

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.

  • Research organisations and individuals (including via social media and industry platforms) to identify new leads and opportunities.

  • Understand client needs and identify key decision-makers within target organisations.

  • Monitor and maintain the internal project pipeline and update it daily.

  • Contact prospective clients by phone and email to establish relationships and arrange meetings.

  • Plan and support new marketing and business development initiatives.

  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings (particularly within the hospitality and luxury residential sectors).

  • Prepare and manage all tender documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client and project requirements, and maintain up-to-date company information across relevant procurement and tendering platforms.

  • Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets and revenue objectives.

  • Provide regular feedback and market insight to senior management and the Managing Director.

Profile

The successful Senior Business Development Manager, or Sales Director should have the following skillset/experience;

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the contract furniture, joinery, construction, luxury interiors, or hospitality sectors.

  • Strong understanding of the UK hospitality market (hotels, serviced apartments, branded residences, and mixed-use developments) is desirable.

  • Strong commercial awareness and numerical ability.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation abilities.

  • Confident relationship-builder with a professional and personable approach.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint).

  • Creative problem solver with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Offer
  • A competitive salary of circa £70,000-£85,000 DOE

  • Attractive on-target earnings (OTE) structure.
