Senior Business Analyst – Operating Model Transformation

• 12\+ month contract


• Hybrid working model – 3 days onsite in Luxembourg

A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a high\-profile Strategic Execution function focused on large\-scale operational transformation across international locations.

This is an opportunity to work on complex business change initiatives involving operating model design, process optimisation, business readiness, and strategic transformation within a sophisticated banking environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and documenting target operating models, improving operational processes, and partnering with senior stakeholders across business and programme teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and enhancement of target operating models using a structured top\-down methodology


• Conduct current state assessments and gap analysis across operational processes


• Produce process documentation across multiple levels including:


• High\-level process maps


• Team interaction diagrams


• Swimlane workflows


• Detailed procedural documentation


• Partner closely with operational readiness and programme management teams


• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements


• Identify and escalate programme risks, issues, and dependencies


• Support business readiness planning and transformation execution activities


• Engage with senior stakeholders across business units, programme teams, and clients


• Ensure alignment between operational processes, governance frameworks, and strategic transformation objectives

Required Experience

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or banking environments


• Proven background delivering large\-scale transformation or operating model change initiatives


• Strong understanding of custody banking, operations, process flows, and systems landscapes


• Experience documenting end\-to\-end operational processes and target operating models


• Strong analytical and problem\-solving capabilities


• Experience with business readiness, governance, and risk management activities


• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non\-technical teams


• Experience working within complex global programmes
