<p>We are seeking a Senior Build Systems &amp; Software Robustification Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of the build, toolchain, and software quality infrastructure for a complex C++ robotics platform. This role is responsible for ensuring build reliability, software quality, reproducibility, and traceability across the entire development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern C++ build systems, CI/CD automation, static analysis, sanitizer integration, and reproducible build practices within production-grade software environments.</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Design, implement, and own the build system architecture and toolchain configuration for a large-scale C++ robotics software stack.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Develop and maintain robust build infrastructure using modern build technologies such as CMake and/or Bazel.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Establish and manage comprehensive software quality tooling, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Static code analysis</li>
<li>Address Sanitizer (ASan)</li>
<li>Thread Sanitizer (TSan)</li>
<li>Undefined Behavior Sanitizer (UBSan)</li>
<li>Automated reporting and traceability throughout the development pipeline</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Enable and maintain reproducible production builds, allowing teams to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Rebuild any software component from a specific point in time</li>
<li>Recreate historical build environments</li>
<li>Execute corresponding test suites against reconstructed builds</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Improve CI/CD effectiveness by enhancing:</p>
<ul>
<li>Build reliability</li>
<li>Test signal quality</li>
<li>Failure diagnostics</li>
<li>Developer feedback loops</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Implement artifact management and version traceability processes that provide clear visibility into software lineage, dependencies, and release history.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Drive improvements in developer productivity through better tooling, automation, build performance, and debugging workflows.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with software, robotics, infrastructure, and systems engineering teams to establish scalable engineering best practices for software delivery and quality assurance.</p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<p><strong>Qualifications;</strong></p>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.</li>
</ul>
<p>Extensive experience designing and maintaining C++ build systems using:</p>
<ul>
<li>CMake</li>
<li>Bazel</li>
<li>Similar enterprise-scale build frameworks</li>
</ul>
<p>Strong hands-on experience with:</p>
<ul>
<li>Static analysis tools</li>
<li>ASan, TSan, and UBSan deployment and troubleshooting</li>
<li>Compiler and linker toolchains</li>
</ul>
<p>Deep understanding of:</p>
<ul>
<li>Reproducible and hermetic build methodologies</li>
<li>Dependency management</li>
<li>Build environment isolation</li>
<li>Software release engineering</li>
</ul>
<p>Proven experience building and maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines.</p>
<p>Expertise in toolchain management, compiler configuration, and cross-compilation environments.</p>
<p>Strong debugging, automation, and systems-level problem-solving skills.</p>
</div>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications;</strong></p>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Experience supporting embedded Linux or ARM-based cross-compilation environments.</li>
<li>Knowledge of software supply-chain security, artifact provenance, and software bill of materials (SBOM) practices.</li>
<li>Experience within robotics, autonomous systems, aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or other safety-critical software domains.</li>
<li>Familiarity with containerized build environments and infrastructure-as-code practices.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong><span data-contrast="none">Salary Range: $145K-$185K</span></strong></p>
