<h3><strong>Position Description</strong></h3></div><p class="isSelectedEnd">We are seeking an experienced <strong>Sr. Billing Specialist</strong> to join our Finance team and support billing, accounts receivable and collections activities for <strong>U.S. Government and commercial contracts</strong>.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with <strong>government contract billing, accounts receivable, collections, FAR, CAS, contract types, indirect rates and unbilled revenue recognition</strong>. The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented and comfortable working across Finance, Contracts, Program Management, and government and commercial customers.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Government and Commercial Contract Billing</strong></p>
<ul data-spread="false">
<li>Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely invoices for U.S. Government contracts.</li>
<li>Manage billing for <strong>Time &amp; Materials (T&amp;M), Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Cost-Plus, IDIQ</strong>, and other government contract types.</li>
<li>Review contracts, modifications, funding, CLINs, Schedules, and contractual billing requirements.</li>
<li>Apply working knowledge of <strong>Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)</strong> as applicable.</li>
<li>Reconcile labor, subcontractor, ODC, and other billable costs to contract requirements.</li>
<li>Monitor contract funding, ceilings, billing limitations, and invoice status.</li>
<li>Resolve invoice discrepancies, rejected invoices, and customer billing questions.</li>
</ul>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Accounts Receivable &amp; Collections</strong></p>
<ul data-spread="false">
<li>Manage assigned <strong>accounts receivable portfolio</strong> and monitor outstanding government and commercial receivables.</li>
<li>Perform timely <strong>collections activities</strong> through email, telephone, and other appropriate customer communications.</li>
<li>Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due invoices.</li>
<li>Investigate and resolve payment delays, invoice disputes, short payments, and customer account discrepancies.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate customer account records and document collection activities.</li>
<li>Reconcile customer accounts, cash receipts, credits, and outstanding balances.</li>
<li>Coordinate with Billing, Contracts, Accounting, Program Managers, and customers to resolve collection issues.</li>
<li>Escalate delinquent accounts and significant disputes to management as appropriate.</li>
<li>Assist with cash application and ensure payments are properly applied to invoices.</li>
<li>Track collection performance and identify trends or recurring billing issues that may impact cash flow.</li>
</ul>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Qualifications Required:</strong></p>
<ul data-spread="false">
<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.</li>
<li><strong>3+ years of experience</strong> in billing, accounts receivable, collections and project accounting.</li>
<li>Experience supporting <strong>U.S. Government and Commercial contracts</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>Deltek Costpoint or comparable ERP/accounting systems</strong></li>
<li>Working knowledge of <strong>FAR</strong></li>
<li>Experience with <strong>T&amp;M, FFP, Cost-Plus, IDIQ</strong>, or similar government contract types.</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>accounts receivable aging, collections, cash application, and account reconciliation</strong>.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret contracts and translate contractual requirements into billing procedures.</li>
<li>Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.</li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple contracts, customer accounts, and competing deadlines.</li>
</ul>
