Senior Barista (full time)

Duties

• Lead daily café operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service at all times


• Supervise and motivate baristas and staff to deliver top\-tier coffee and food service experiences


• Manage POS systems for accurate transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting


• Oversee food safety protocols, proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations


• Train staff on coffee brewing techniques, food preparation and customer engagement strategies


• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; place orders as needed to maintain stock levels


• Handle cash register operations, cashiering duties, and financial reconciliation at shift end


• Maintain a clean, organized café environment that promotes safety and efficiency


• Implement sales strategies to increase revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction


• Address customer concerns promptly to foster positive relationships and repeat business

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage customization


• Previous management or supervisory experience in a café or food service setting


• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting


• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy hours


• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally


• Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices


• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management


• Ability to train staff on food preparation techniques and customer service protocols


• Experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required
