Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

Actimi is a medtech company, we build and deploy a digital health platform for realtime and on\-demand data from wearables and medical devices. We're scaling our digital healthcare infrastructure, extend it with AI and are looking for a senior backend or fullstack engineer to help us with it.

Tasks
---------

• Design and scale NestJS services that handle real\-time device telemetry


• Own reliability under load, multi\-tenancy, caching, queues, and PostgreSQL / Redis performance


• Incorporate AI on all levels. Keep the system correct as it grows.

• Production experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS (Express under the hood)


• Solid problem\-solving in distributed systems, and the instinct for debugging under load


• Experience building backend services that stay correct and available as they scale

• Real ownership of critical backend systems, end to end


• Direct access to the founders and technical leadership


• Meaningful work and systems that support real patient care


• Stuttgart office with flexible/hybrid arrangements

• Exposure to FHIR or other healthcare data standards


• IoT / MQTT ingestion


• Load testing (e.g. k6\)


• React/React Native experience

Our process is two stages:

• A coding assessment (data structures and algorithms), held virtually


• An on\-site session working through problems in pseudocode and discussion, whiteboard style, no compiler
