HVSS (High Voltage Substation Services) Ltd specialises in design, construction, installation and commissioning of High Voltage Substations Systems up to 400kV, providing a comprehensive service for all aspects of high voltage substation civil and electrical construction from the very earliest stages to testing \& commissioning and handover.

HVSS have an opportunity for the right candidate to join HVSS due to our growing portfolio and to play an integral part in the continual development of the business.
HVSS are a dynamic and enthusiastic team and we are looking to further strengthen our team with the appointment of a Senior Authorised Person(SAP) 11, 33 and 132KV to assist in delivering electrical works on major projects and customer connections.

Job role:
· Plan outages, produce switching programmes and liaise with control
· Working with our inhouse design team
· Assist in delivering innovative projects
· Ensuring site safety is maintained at all times
· Reviewing RAMS and associated documents
· Reviewing design drawings
· HV switching
· Earthing
· Issuing Limitation of Access (LOA)
· Issuing Permits to Work (PTW)
· Sanction for tests (SFT)
· Supporting the Tendering Team
· Supporting the site teams and continually improving their knowledge
· Driving continuous Improvements
· Excellent communication skill
· Working as part of a team
Working hours
· 45 hours per week – Flexible
· Work from home, site or office
Requirements
· Must have full UK driving licence
· SSEN/UKPN/NGED authorisations
· SSSTS
· EUSR certificate

This is a complex field requiring high technical understanding and proficiency and will include the ability to apply practical engineering sense from first principles using a logical disciplined approach to problem\-solving.
The job holder is required to communicate enthusiastically in an open and unambiguous manner. The job holder will be leading site\-based teams using interpersonal skills rather than positional power. In this role, the job holder will demonstrate the ability to understand and rationalise conflicting points of view to reach an optimum solution.
Salary Range:
\- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and systems.
\- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
\- Develop maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
\- Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimize processes.
\- Utilize SolidWorks, logic controllers, AutoCAD, MATLAB, MicroStation, and other relevant tools for maintenance tasks.
\- Implement surface mount technology for electronic components.
\- Participate in system design and debugging activities.
Requirements
\- Proven experience in maintenance operations.
\- Proficiency in SolidWorks, logic controllers, AutoCAD, MATLAB, MicroStation.
\- Knowledge of system design principles.
\- Experience in debugging mechanical and electrical systems.
\- Ability to solder and work with firmware.
\- Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail.
