Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior / Associate Director Level Measured Building Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead complex surveying projects, utilise advanced measurement techniques, and contribute to the growth of our surveying division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial building \& land surveying, construction, and data management, with proficiency in industry\-standard software and tools. You will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate building measurements, managing client relationships, and supervising/managing junior staff within a professional environment committed to excellence.

Duties

• Lead and manage commercial measured building survey projects from inception to completion, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.


• Conduct detailed land surveys using advanced measurement equipment and techniques.


• Prepare comprehensive survey reports, drawings, and data sets using AutoCAD, CAD, and ArcGIS software.


• Oversee data management processes, ensuring the integrity and security of survey information.


• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and construction teams to provide expert advice on survey requirements and project scope.


• Supervise and mentor junior surveyors and technical staff, fostering professional development within the team.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all survey activities on\-site and in the office.


• Assist in business development activities by preparing proposals and contributing to project bids.


• Maintain up\-to\-date knowledge of industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in measured building surveying.

• Degree qualified in Real Estate, Building Surveying, MSc in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Geography or Civil Engineering and/or relevant industry experience (4 year minimum).


• Knowledge of Leica instrumentation (Total Stations, Terrestrial Laser Scanners, Disto and GNSS equipment) and processing software (Cyclone Register 360, Cloudworx and N4Ce).


• Proven experience as a Commercial Measured Building Surveyor at senior or associate level within a reputable surveying or construction firm.


• Extensive knowledge of land surveying techniques, construction processes, and data management systems.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD software programmes, ArcGIS, and related GIS tools.


• Strong understanding of construction documentation, BIM processes, and project coordination.


• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.


• Relevant professional qualifications such as RICS accreditation or equivalent are highly desirable.
