Senior Architect
Purcell are looking for an exceptional Senior Architect to join our London team. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in unique design led private residential and hospitality projects, working collaboratively with a broad consultant team. You will have spent more than five years since your Part 3 qualification developing your skills and your judgement and you will have taken responsibility for delivery of luxury residential or hospitality projects for demanding clients.

- Minimum 5 years' post Part 3 qualification experience (PQE) as a UK\-registered architect, with demonstrable experience delivering prime residential and listed building refurbishment projects in the UK.
- Be well organised, proactive and have an enthusiastic approach to work and projects
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and NBS software, with a good working understanding of BIM processes, model coordination, and producing accurate, well\-structured information.
- Strong technical design capability, with proven experience planning and producing technical drawings, construction packages, and coordinated information for complex heritage and high\-end residential schemes.
- Excellent knowledge of traditional building construction and integration of both traditional and contemporary interventions within historic buildings.
- A thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and codes of practice.
- Demonstrable experience of leading and coordinating the work of multidisciplinary consultant teams, including structure, MEPH, lighting, interior designers, specialist subcontractors.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage internal and external project teams and workloads to meet tight programmes, with an agile, proactive approach to evolving client requirements in fast\-paced prime residential projects.
- Experience of administering and reviewing consultant and contractor information, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and site queries to maintain design quality and technical compliance.
- Strong site and delivery experience, including chairing and leading coordination meetings, inspections, defect reviews, and close collaboration with contractors and specialist craftspeople.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical reports, consultant coordination notes, meeting minutes and project correspondence, while communicating confidently and professionally with clients, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams.
