About Subco Engineering

Subco Engineering provides specialist engineering design services to clients across offshore energy, subsea, ports, nuclear and defence sectors.

We deliver projects from concept through detailed design, analysis and manufacturing documentation, helping clients solve complex engineering challenges with practical, high-quality solutions.

Opportunities

We're recruiting experienced engineers at either Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer level.

• Senior Engineers take ownership of engineering projects and work packages.


• Lead Engineers take ownership of complex multidisciplinary projects, key client accounts and engineering teams.

The Impact You'll Make

• Deliver engineering projects from kickoff to close-out. Take responsibility for delivery and management of projects, their budgets and quality requirements.


• Manage client communication, design reviews and technical decision-making.


• Produce, check and review calculations, drawings, analyses and technical reports.


• Resolve technical and delivery challenges.


• Support and mentor Graduate and Mechanical Engineers.


• Improve engineering standards, templates, calculations and quality systems.

Typical projects include:

• Offshore equipment


• Subsea systems and vehicles


• Lifting and handling equipment


• Access systems


• Feasibility studies

What You'll Bring

For Senior Level

• Degree-qualified engineer in a relevant discipline.


• Experience delivering mechanical or multidisciplinary engineering projects.


• Strong capability in calculations, analysis, CAD, drawings and technical documentation.


• Good knowledge of engineering design principles, design codes, materials and manufacturing methods.


• Experience working directly with clients, engineers and contractors.


• Strong communication, organisation and engineering judgement.


• Experience supporting and developing junior engineers.


• Chartered Engineer status preferred, or working towards it.

Additionally, for Lead Engineers

• Experience leading complex multidisciplinary projects.


• Project ownership and delivery experience.


• Experience reviewing and approving engineering deliverables.


• Experience managing key client relationships and proposals.


• Experience engaging contractors and line-managing engineers.

Experience

Standards: DNV, LR, ABS, BV, Eurocodes, ASME

Software: Inventor, AutoCAD, Ansys Workbench, STAAD Pro, CAESAR II, Orcaflex, Hydrosym/Hydroman, Mathcad
