Senior Accountant - Penzance - £35,000 - £45,000

Trial Balance are delighted to be working with a highly-regarded accountancy practice in Penzance, looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join its team. Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you'll enjoy a broad range of accounting and taxation responsibilities alongside regular client contact and the opportunity to support more junior colleagues.

As Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies


• Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements


• Preparing personal and corporate tax returns and providing practical advice where required


• Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments


• Producing management accounts


• Responding to client queries and building strong working relationships


• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team

Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and be confident across accounts preparation and taxation work.

This role could suit an established Accounts Senior or Senior Accountant seeking a fresh challenge. You'll be organised, pro-active and confident communicating with both clients and colleagues, with a genuine commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
