Senior Accountant
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team at the firm’s office on the outskirts of Blackpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented ACCA/ACA qualified accountant to provide high-quality accounts and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team as Senior Accountant, using your strong technical expertise to provide exceptional accounting services, building client and colleague relationships and nurturing the talents junior team members.

As Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include: • Managing a dynamic portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting and submissions
- Preparation and submission of year-end accounts, Corporation Tax Computations, VAT Returns, and Confirmation Statements
- Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisor
- Managing client expectations, arranging closing meetings to finalise accounts
- Mentor and support junior team members, providing training and feedback to help them develop professionally
- Oversee the preparation of client deliverables, including accounts, tax, PAYE, and VAT, ensuring deadlines are met
- Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance on technical issues and client queries
- Handle client queries promptly and professionally, and give clear advice, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty
- Assist with audit work at busy times of the year if necessary
- Ensure the quality of client files and audits is maintained to the highest standard
- Significant experience gained within a UK accountancy practice is essential
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in managing and/or mentoring junior members of a practice team
- Proficiency in navigating professional regulations and best practices
- Self-motivation, attention to detail, and adaptability to evolving business requirements
