About the Account Management function:

The primary liaison between TVS and our clients’ management teams, the Account Management function is responsible for client retention, growth and contract adherence. Account Managers hold the ultimate responsibility for the commercial performance of our contracts and work with various departments across the business to bring together an excellent customer experience through service, new solutions and value to maintain strong relationships. The team has a commercial focus and plays a key role in shaping the path of our business through strategy and solution development.

Your Purpose:

Act as the principal manager of the relationship with the client’s management team. To understand the client’s business and identify new opportunities to benefit both parties. To ensure TVS delivers service excellence, innovation and cost\-down opportunities to the client, whilst maximising revenue and profit for TVS SCS. To challenge the effectiveness of business processes which underpin performance on the contract and take commercial lead internally to drive the continuous improvement of processes across all business functions.

Main Duties \& Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and broaden the commercial and account relationship with the client

  • Ensure contracted profit and revenue targets are achieved, identifying ways to grow account revenue and profit and maintaining a project and account growth pipeline

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders within TVS SCS

  • Demonstrate leadership through communicating strategic goals and priorities for your accounts to relevant departments and stakeholders within TVS SCS

  • Stay up to date with the client’s issues, their industry news and challenges

  • Produce key account plans both internally and externally with the client (JBPs) to facilitate strategic development and growth of the account, adding value to both parties

  • Maintain communication matrixes with the client to ensure an efficient and effective communication structure

  • Deliver flexible and innovative solutions to the client’s operational issues

  • Work with support and project management functions to deliver continuous improvement and cost\-down opportunities to the client whilst maximising profit contribution to TVS SCS

  • Ensure inspirational customer experience is delivered

  • Ensure contract performance KPIs are delivered and continually review effectiveness of performance measurements of the contract, both internally and with the client

  • Represent TVS SCS in all interfaces with the client, at multiple levels, as required

  • Chair and attend meetings with key client stakeholders, maintaining effective action logs

  • Maintain reports in the form of project \& account growth pipelines, management reports and meeting minutes \& action logs

  • Liaise with the client accounting team to ensure input to the planning and forecasting process, and ensure on\-time payment in line with contracted terms

  • Work closely with the Business Development \& Marketing team to develop strategy and assist in winning new business

  • Identify and attend industry and networking events to grow relationships

  • Host and attend client entertainment events as required
This position would be based at Chorley however applicants must be willing to travel and at times work from other locations, international travel will likely be required from time to time depending on the clients you manage. Depending on the size and complexity of the contract, you will likely be managing more than 1 contract; typically Senior Account Managers are responsible for 2\-4 key strategic contracts, but this may vary depending on the size and complexity of the contracts managed. This role may also require you to manage/mentor junior team members.

Preferred
  • Good understanding of financial/accounting processes

  • Delivery of demanding performance and financial targets, including budgetary cost control

  • Commercial, supply chain and/or operational background

  • An understanding of the Beverage, Hospitality, Automotive, Utilities, Facilities Management or IT Equipment sectors across the UK (\& Europe)

  • Creating value added proposals for clients

  • Negotiating commercially and contractually complex contracts

  • Educated to degree level or similar

Security Clearance Requirement

Candidates must be eligible to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
