About the Opportunity

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils across Key Stages 1–4, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with a particular focus on those experiencing Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will provide tailored support to help students overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and personally.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people and are looking to develop a career within education, SEND, or pastoral support.

The Role

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with SEND and SEMH needs

Build positive, trusting relationships that promote engagement and wellbeing

Support pupils who may experience behavioural challenges, anxiety, depression, or the effects of trauma

Assist students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider school teams to deliver personalised support

Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

About You

We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experience levels. Previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs is beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided.

The successful candidate will:

Be caring, patient, and passionate about supporting young people

Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

Be adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn

Show resilience and confidence when supporting students with complex needs

Have an interest or background in education, childcare, psychology, social care, youth work, or a related field (desirable)

Have experience or an understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour (desirable)

What We Offer

Competitive daily pay rates based on experience and skills

Access to wellbeing support and resources

A dedicated recruitment consultant available 24/7

Ongoing training and professional development opportunities

The chance to gain valuable experience within a supportive school environment

A rewarding role where you can make a genuine and lasting impact on young people's lives

If you are committed to helping students overcome challenges and reach their potential, we would love to hear from you.
