Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference?
We're recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEND school in Sheffield supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly supportive environment that places wellbeing, inclusion and pupil development at the heart of everything it does.
The Role
- Support pupils with SEND in the classroom and around school.
- Work on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within whole-class settings.
- Help pupils access learning and achieve their individual goals.
- Support the emotional, social and mental health needs of learners.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Promote a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
- A caring, patient and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to support pupils with a range of learning, communication and behavioural needs.
- Experience in education, SEND, SEMH, autism, learning disabilities or care settings is highly desirable.
